OncoGenex Technologies Inc.

OncoGenex is a biopharmaceutical company committed to the development and commercialization of new cancer therapies that address treatment resistance in cancer patients. Product candidates are being developed to block the production of specific proteins associated with the development of treatment resistance, which OncoGenex believes will increase survival time and improve the quality of life for cancer patients.

OncoGenex currently has three product candidates in development: OGX-011, OGX-427 and OGX-225. These candidates are designed to selectively inhibit the production of proteins that are associated with treatment resistance and that are over-produced in response to a variety of cancer treatments. The company's aim in targeting these particular proteins is to disable the tumor cell's adaptive defenses, render the tumor cells susceptible to attack with a variety of cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, and facilitate tumor cell death.

RCT invested in OncoGenex through Milestone Medica Corporation (MMC) in Canada. RBC Technology Ventures and RCT created MMC in 1998 to invest in product development opportunities derived from Canadian biomedical research. MMC Is now fully invested and has been assisting its investee companies to reach their financial and technical milestones.
