Human Sox 9 Gene: Osteogenic Differentiation Factor

The sox 9 gene is a transcription factor that plays a role in early mammalian skeletal development. Products derived from the gene may find use in therapies for bone and cartilage disorders, particularly to reverse the effects of osteoporosis.
