RCT Settles Lawsuit with HP

Research Corporation Technologies announced today that it has reached an agreement to settle its lawsuit against Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) pending in U.S. Federal Court District of Arizona (Civil Action No. 95-490-TUC-CRW).
As a result of the settlement, HP has taken a license under RCT's halftoning patents including the blue noise mask patents developed at New York's University of Rochester by Dr. Kevin Parker and Dr. Theophano Mitsa. No other terms of the settlement were disclosed.
